For our founder, Tom Stone, it has another meaning too: Second Star is the second game studio he has brought into existence.
In 2003, after several years at Electronic Arts working on FIFA and Harry Potter, Tom Stone founded Giant Interactive, securing the worldwide, long-term exclusive rights to make LEGO® video games. The first title, LEGO® Star Wars™, launched in 2005 to great acclaim.
At the same time, TT Games was born and the studio went on to produce the iconic LEGO® series, including LEGO® Batman™, LEGO® Indiana Jones™, LEGO® Lord of the Rings™, LEGO® Marvel™, and LEGO® Harry Potter™. The franchise has since sold over 275 million copies, producing more than $4 billion in revenue and shaping a generation of young gamers.
Tom is delighted to be joined by many of the key members of the LEGO development team who made the series of games so special, as well as many new faces with ambitions to build an exceptional studio.
